Oh cripes, how is it already December 16? I’m supposed to go on “staycation” on Saturday, and that’s definitely not happening. And shipping deadlines are creeping up too, which is even worse! I’ve got piles of gifts to wrap and send out by Friday at the latest. Just arranging to have everything ready to pick up at the stores was exhausting, and then driving to go get them.
I’ve also found out something weird as a result of 2020: I drive like a slug now. Seriously, I was on the freeway and found myself going like 40-45. I had to consciously make myself drive faster.
As you can see, this week’s comic is inspired by what I’m going through. I feel like I do nothing but work lately. It’s still enjoyable, but it’s a lot of stress on top of the holidays! I have so much cookie dough to make this week, and I haven’t even gotten started yet.
Anyway, this comic is also a continuation of an old comic: SimpleMarkup #68. Edie’s workaholicism has now moved on to the chronic stage. That’s definitely me!
