I am so not ready for Halloween this year, and we’re not even really doing Halloween. Normally by now I’ve planned out my Halloween menu, but this year I’m too behind on work, and plus the election from hell is going on.
Despite the crapiness of this year, I’m going to try to decorate this weekend so that we can spend more than all of November enjoying my Halloween decorations, which is typically what happens. I’m thinking this year I’ll make a spooky charcuterie board and a meatloaf hand, plus maybe some easy smokie mummies for Mr. D. I haven’t made the meatloaf hand in a while, and I live in a meatloaf lovers house, so that’s a win-win.
If you weren’t aware, today is the last day of Prime “Day,” so you’ve only got hours left to spend your money on things you don’t really need but hopefully can find someone to give it to anyway or possibly just keep it for yourself if you’re especially awful about compulsive shopping to relieve stress.
I know I sound like I’m talking about myself, but I’ve actually managed to control myself and mostly buy a few advance toys for Christmas and some clothes for my walking growth spurt teenage son. Still, that’s money out the door, sigh.
