Day 39 of self-isolation here, and I’ve passed the “chaotic pandemic pomodoro” phase and entered the “get my work life back in order” phase. I’ve started to wake up around 6:30 a.m. no matter how late I go to bed, without setting an alarm. I’m logging more hours, filling out my day in my planner again, and I’m actually crossing things off.
And yet, I still have the same family distractions that come with people bored at home all day, so I’m trying to look at this as even more productivity honing, and hopefully when this whole thing blows over, my pandemic skill will be superhuman multitasking.
That said, it’s still a work in progress. I find it amusing that I seem to be back to my old admin job where I was in charge of office procurement, only now I work for the Department of Boredom Alleviation at the Watanabe School for Incredibly Hungry Children.
I hope you’re doing well and still healthy and safe! Have a great rest of your week. 🙂
